Becoming Water III (20x16)
Immerse yourself in the shifting depths of “Becoming Water III,” a resin sculpture that explores the delicate transition between form and fluidity. Layers of translucent blue move across the surface in a gradual progression from deep, saturated ocean tones to lighter, almost weightless shades, creating the feeling of water in constant motion.
The title continues the exploration of becoming, of releasing what is fixed and allowing yourself to flow, change, and transform. In this piece, the movement feels particularly powerful, as though the water is being carried forward by an unseen current. It speaks to the beauty of embracing change rather than resisting it, finding strength in movement and freedom in letting go.
As light passes through the layers of resin, the sculpture comes alive with intricate textures, ripples, and glasslike translucency. Deep blues seem to recede into the surface while lighter tones catch the light, creating an ever-changing interplay of depth and movement. “Becoming Water III” captures that fleeting moment when something solid begins to surrender to the flow, becoming something entirely new.
While Becoming Water III is currently unframed, two to three custom framing options are available to complement your interior style. I’ll work with you to select the one that best enhances the artwork’s natural tones and form. The frame is included in the price.
Please note that shipping times may vary depending on the selected framing option and delivery schedule.
Each piece begins as a hand-sculpted clay form, which is then used to create a custom mold. Layers of resin in varying shades are carefully poured to enhance depth, movement, and transparency. The result is a luminous, flowing form that interacts with light, creating shifting reflections and an organic sense of movement. No two are ever alike.
Designed to transform any space, this sculpture glows in natural daylight, shimmers under warm indoor lighting, and creates mesmerizing reflections in dim settings. For a truly stunning effect, consider placing it under a spotlight to accentuate its depth and fluidity. Whether near a window, under an overhead light, or as an eye-catching statement piece, its presence creates a soothing atmosphere with a touch of dynamic elegance.
This artwork isn’t just décor—it’s an immersive experience, bringing the essence of water into your home. Let its gentle, flowing energy create a serene retreat in your space.
